Events 2012
Our events during the first months of 2012 cannot be held in St James’ while the building is being converted into an Arts Centre and will be elsewhere in New Mills. Our first event in the new centre (apart from the site visits) is planned for April 28th. We are very grateful to all the performers who have given their time and talents towards fundraising for the project.

Thursday February 16th
“Wilfred Owen and the Ripon Connection”
Library Lecture Room
An illustrated talk by Dr Roger Kendall on the poems Owen wrote and revised whilst recuperating in Ripon Camp. From there he went back to the Front and died just before the Armistice.

A weekend of exhibitions by a group of artists in the newly-opened Centre. This is part of a county-wide event and will be an exciting first in our programme.
