Film "The Lives of Others" a hard-hitting and
gripping tale of life under the Stasi in former East Germany. Our
first film-show is an Oscar-winning German film, which also received
22 awards round the world and widespread critical acclaim. Tickets £5/£4.50
Bonus short film thanks to Whaley Bridge producer Mike Knowles will be "Waving at Trains" starring Pete Postlethwaite. Mike will be here to talk and answer questions.

Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas, works by Monteverdi and Byrde and folksongs
set to music by William Walton and Benjamin Britten.These will be

Heritage Open Day.
Come and admire this lovely church and talk about its future as an arts centre. There will be a display of New Mills photographs past and present from New Mills Heritage Centre, Arts Activity in celebration of the church by New Mills Original and a genealogy stall run by New Mills Library. All free!
