Film "The Lives of Others" a hard-hitting and gripping tale of life under the Stasi in former East Germany. Our first film-show is an Oscar-winning German film, which also received 22 awards round the world and widespread critical acclaim. Tickets £5/£4.50

Bonus short film thanks to Whaley Bridge producer Mike Knowles will be "Waving at Trains" starring Pete Postlethwaite. Mike will be here to talk and answer questions.

AGM of the Trust followed by Brass Ensemble from New Mills Band.

All members of the Friends are welcome. Please join us for the AGM which will be followed by refreshments and a performance by the band. This event is free.

We welcome the Hayfield Singers.
A varied programme which includes choruses from Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas, works by Monteverdi and Byrde and folksongs set to music by William Walton and Benjamin Britten.These will be interspersed with poetry readings by Barbara Jagger. Tickets £7.00 and £5.50

Come and admire this lovely church and talk about its future as an arts centre. There will be a display of New Mills photographs past and present from New Mills Heritage Centre, Arts Activity in celebration of the church by New Mills Original and a genealogy stall run by New Mills Library.
